Washington, Jan, 9 : US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has called on President Donald Trump to step down immediately. He also warned that parliament would take action if Trump did not leave voluntarily.

She also cites examples of how Parliament forced President Richard Nixon to resign 50 years ago.

“Today, President Donald Trump has committed a similarly dangerous act of treason,” she said. Following in Nixon’s footsteps, Pelosi also urged Republican senators to urge Trump to step down.

He also vowed to take action against Brian de Sicnic, a parliamentary police officer who died on Wednesday.
