Dhangadhi : Samata Media Center has donated 120 oxygen cylinders free of cost to government hospitals in the Sudoorpaschim Province.

The Samata Media Center has donated 120 oxygen cylinders with the financial support of Bhakta B.B. for Humanity and Bhakta BB Helping Hands for Humanity. After refilling 120 units of oxygen from Biratnagar, it reached Dhangadhi on Sunday morning.

On the same day, Seti Provincial Hospital Dhangadhi was given 30 seats, Mahakali Hospital Kanchanpur 30 seats, Gauriganga Kovid Hospital Chaumala 5 seats and 2 seats, Nova Hospital Dhangadhi 5 seats, Sarathi Hospital Dhangadhi 8 seats, Baitadi Hospital 8 seats, Bajura. Two large units have been handed over to the hospital.

Similarly, Dadeldhura Sub-Regional Hospital has been handed over 8 large and 20 small cylinders and Doti Hospital has been handed over 98 large and 22 small oxygen cylinders, said Milan Pariyar, Executive Chairman of Samata Media Center.

Medical Superintendent of Seti Provincial Hospital Dr. Hemraj Pandey, Mahakali Hospital Management Committee Member Kaushila Ojha, Gauriganga Municipality Covid Hospital Incharge Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Medical Superintendent of Sub-Regional Hospital Dadeldhura Dr. Jagdish Bhatt, Information Officer of District Hospital Doti Radiographer Amar Singh Bhatt from Samata Media Executive Chairman Pariyar handed over the cylinder along with the letter, the organization said.

Chairman Pariyar said that 50 empty cylinders were sent to Nepalgunj for refill at 9 pm yesterday (Monday) after the sub-regional hospitals Dadeldhura and Baitadi Hospital demanded additional oxygen cylinders.

Bhakta BB Helping Hands for Humanity, which played an important role in distributing relief to earthquake victims in the quake-hit region during the 2072 earthquake, said last year that the government of Nepal imposed a long ban on covid control in Nepal, providing health care and medicine to senior citizens in various districts across the country. Bhakta Bahadur Bhandari, founder of Bhakta BB Helping Hands for Humanity, who distributed relief items, told Samatakhabar through video call.
